The Villas are a mirror image of each other. Villa Kinara is the larger of the two, and Villa Kinaree with four bedrooms of its own.
Villa Kinara
All bedrooms are huge, with seating areas and terraces according myriad private corners. Even more spacious are the open-plan living rooms defined by soaring teakwood columns and furnished with over-sized sofas, home entertainment centres, bars, billiard tables, and 12-seater dining tables. The staff are used to large groups and can arrange for all guests to share meals together.
Set within an exclusive residential enclave behind the Oberoi Hotel, five minutes from Ku Dé Ta, this Villa is perfect for groups of friends, or a few families who want space to spread out in their own peaceful, private, fully-staffed, five-pavilion villa a short stroll from Seminyak.
The villa¹s architectural design draws on the Indonesian archipelago’s rich heritage and abundance of natural materials. Paying heed to traditional Balinese home layouts, the property is spread over three pavilions, with
roofs of alang-alang (thatch) and ironwood shingles. In a contemporary interpretation of the old timber joglo and limasan houses of Java, teakwood is much in evidence throughout the villa, showcasing supreme craftsmanship
and creating a depth of character that belies its newness (the villa was completed mid-2012).
The vast living space is defined by towering teak pillars created from trees selected by the owner’s architect;
teak-embellished ceilings, and Sulawesi teak floors some intricately inlaid with dark sonokeling (rose) wood enrich the bedroom suites. The teak window and door shutters are another interesting feature, influenced by colonial Dutch architecture. Such expansive use of teak is complemented by other natural materials including Palimanan stone, Yogyakarta lavastone, hand-crafted terrazzo, rattan, bamboo and coconut shell.
In keeping with the enviro-architectural theme, the chic furniture, including the dining table (a magnificent slab of teak and a conversation piece in itself), has been designed specially for the Villa owners. And sitting comfortably among these traditional materials are the trappings of convenient 21st Century living: large flat-screen TVs and home entertainment systems, WiFi throughout, and two superbly equipped kitchens.
Two other important Balinese traditions share the limelight: community spirit as evinced in the many social gathering spaces scattered throughout the villa and hospitality from the heart, provided by charming, well-trained, willing staff dedicated to creating a holiday haven for their guests. This is the perfect residence for multiple families or groups of friends.
Villa Kinaree
This sumptuous property offers four luxurious bedrooms, each with a large en-suite bathroom, spacious wardrobes, a safety box and an outdoor seating area. Offering absolute privacy, the villa consists of two wings, facing one
another across gorgeous landscaped gardens and the beautiful 12 metre long salt water swimming pool.
On one side of the pool, there are both indoor, air-conditioned and outdoor living areas. Both offer incredible comfort with huge, deep sofas, attractive arm-chairs with foot rests and, for those looking to sunbathe, sunbeds along one edge of the pool. The covered outdoor living space, cooled by ceiling fans, also includes a bar area, with a large, glass fronted drinks fridge and a 7 feet long, slate bed pool table. Inside there is a 50 inch flat screen TV with cable television offering international programming, a DVD player with surround sound, a large dining table for up to 10 people and a fully equipped European style kitchen.
Above the main covered outdoor living area, there is a very private double bedroom, complete with a wonderful, deep sofa, a 55 inch flat screen TV andDVD player with surround sound that can also be utilized as a movie room.
The second wing consists of bedrooms two and three along with the master suite on the first floor. The master bedroom is spectacular with a huge walk-in wardrobe/dressing room, a stunning feature bathroom, including
double Jacuzzi style spa bath, and a huge private balcony. Bedrooms two and three are spacious, luxurious and wonderfully comfortable. They are located directly next door to each other, so a good choice for those travelling with
young children and twin bed configuration is possible in these suites. High speed wireless internet is available throughout the villa and the house keeping staff are wonderful and helpful.
The gorgeous landscaped gardens are a fantastic feature with the sparkling salt water swimming pool with tropical lounges. This is an excellent choice for those wanting to experience luxury within their Villa, as well as being close to all that Seminyak has to offer.
