Surf lesson
There are several great surf schools on the beach from Kuta through to Seminyak. Such a fun way for the family to be active together in the water! Check out Santai Surf, Rip Curl or Quicksilver for some quality coaching.
Seminyak Market
The Seminyak Square market and the more extensive Flea markets near the entry to The Oberoi Hotel are a fun way to shop! The prices are not fixed and highly inflated, so bartering is part of the experience.
Cooking Class SEMINYAK
Nia Café is at the back of the Seminyak Flea market and offer Balinese cooking classes. They are casual and fun, with the group clasees suitable for kids 8 years and above. If you would like a private cooking class in your Villa, they can also arrange. A great activity for the whole family.
COCO COOKING CLASS SEMINYAK
A Seminyak-based cooking class, where you’ll embark on a culinary adventure into the heart of Balinese cuisine. Learn to prepare mouthwatering dishes using the beautiful spices that give Balinese food its distinct flavour.
BALINESE DANCE – Oberoi Hotel
The public can also enjoy the natural stone amphitheatre at the stunning Oberoi hotel. Here traditional Balinese dance performances are bi-weekly. You can pay to watch the performance only, or choose to dine at the candlelit restaurant. An authentic and tasteful cultural experience. The Amphitheatre is open in the evenings. Tilo Kids Club
Seminyak’s biggest indoor play space, Tilo Kids Club spans 300 sqm of fun for kids aged 4–12. From music and games to Balinese arts, crafts, and baking, there’s plenty to keep them busy — plus a PS3 and Wii corner for older kids. Under-4s are welcome with an adult. Open to the public with hourly or membership options!
KU DE TA FAMILY SUNDAYS
This iconic beachfront venue devotes Sunday mornings to the little ones, staring from 9am. With a kids menu, free jumping castle, arts and crafts and fun activities. Bring your swimmers for an ocean splash and rinse off in the pool any day of the week. Sundays at Ku De Ta have become a family institution in Seminyak, open from 8am for hungry tummies!
MRS SIPPY POOL CLUB
Mrs Sippy is like a beach club, without the beach! A fantastic lagoon style salt water swimming pool complete with palm trees, sand and lounge chairs. There is an old school diving platform and a great café menu! Kids are welcomed but we would say the mornings are more family-friendly and the afternoon can be a more adult only pool party atmosphere. We recommend checking the web site for any events and reserving in advance! There is an entrance fee applied.
Shooters
Shooters is a spot with a difference on stretch of Jalan Petitenget. With a fun little mini-golf course, mini basket hoops, axe throw, giant jenga, shooting to ping pong, Shooters has a game for just about anyone. The blue, red and white décor is all about sideshow alley and the fun of the fair. A great little activity the kids will love. Serving casual foods & drinks.
La Plancha
This Spanish inspired beach café / sunset bar is right on the sand of Seminyak, on the border of Legian. With it’s stretch of colourful bean bags and Balinese umbrellas, it’s a great spot for late afternoon splashing about and enjoying some drinks and snacks. Who doesn’t love family dinner at the beach, Bali style!
Waterbom Bali
Not actually in Seminyak, but worth the trip down to Kuta for waterslide lovers! The park has plenty of thrill-seeking rides as well as a splash zone for younger children and babies, lazy river for those wanting to relax with a good food selection and areas to rest poolside. It’s a big day out for everyone, and for many, a must-do year on year!
Sunset Beach Club
This Seminyak beach club is on the walk way that connects Seminyak with Legian and onto Kuta. In a great location right on the beach with a tropical pool, beanbags, and a great thatched roof bar. Open for lunch and dinner and a great way to enjoy the waves and sand of Seminyak beach in style.

A day at the mall can be a great option for a day out of the sun or weather. A short drive down to Beach Walk offers fun options for the whole family. With a great cinema with affordable Gold Class tickets, a range of shops and cafes, a ginormous lolly shop Candilicious, indoor playground Miniapolos and more. Also home to Zara, H&M and Sephora for any holiday shopping top ups. The roof top area overlooks the ocean at Kuta Beach too.

Perhaps not what you first had in mind for your tropical holiday, but Bali is full of surprises! This mall has an ice-skating rink that is a nice option for active kids and tweens wanting to do an activity. Located on Sunset Road with several shops and a cinema also.
Art Workshops
Vespertine Art House is a beautiful Gallery where you can join a pottery or painting class. Workshops available with small groups or private classes. Enjoy it with a glass of wine and children welcome too! Open from 10 am.
MUDHOUSE BALI
Mudhouse Bali is Seminyak’s cosy, creative pottery studio where you can get your hands dirty and have fun! Try hand-building or wheel-throwing with guidance from friendly instructors — no experience needed. It’s a great family-friendly activity or a peaceful break from the buzz of Seminyak.
